Overview

ThisThis document outlines the identity provider specific steps required to configure a Standalone Cirrus Bridge with a SAML Identity Provider. For the full process, visit Getting Started with Cirrus Bridge. You will follow each of these steps for each new application that you add.

To complete these steps, you will need the following:

Implementation of a Standalone Bridge involves setting up a single application in your primary identity provider that includes all of the attributes needed for your service providers (SPs). The typical implementation involves a single authentication profile representing the Default R&S values. An authentication profile includes the NameID format and value, set of attributes, and set of signing and encryption settings. If more authentication profiles are needed, your Cirrus Implementation Lead will work with you to develop these additional profiles and provide support for configuration.

Add SAML Application

In your primary identity provider, you will create a new SAML Application with the information gathered.

Then you will export the metadata from that application and send it to your implementation lead who will work with our team to provision the Bridge along with any pre-provisioning information gathered.

Next, your implementation lead will provide you with the metadata or values needed to complete the trust relationship for the application in your primary identity provider.

Testing

Now that your Standalone Bridge is configured, please return to the Testing section of the Getting Started documentation to test your Bridge.
